The truck is a total rust bucket three sets of wheel bearings, four sets of brakes,air conditioner lines,transmission lines all rusted out. Four wheel drive motor shot,latch on tailgate broken,rear end leaks upper and lower repaired. At lest the radio woks great . I can see why they stopped making this truck.
Own 2006 Ford Ranger sport 4x4. Today, 06-11-11 I lost the rear brakes for the second time. The first time was about a year ago. Truck was taken to a Ford dealer for repair. After inspecting the brakes, they asked me if I park in standing water. I told them no, in a parking lot. They said the rear brake components were frozen and coroded. I felt the rear drums today and they are ice cold. If they are working properly, the rear drums would be hot. Its a very scarey feeling when you hit the brakes and the truck does not stop. Please check to see if other truck owners have had this problem.
