2008 Ford Ranger. Consumer states abs brakes are subject to dust accumulation which causes the anti-locking brakes to lock the back wheels and the truck slides to a stop the consumer stated the brakes had to be serviced twice to get the dust blown out.

Brake Disc Rotor problem #2

The contact owns a 2008 Ford Ranger xl. While driving approximately 50 mph the steering column started shaking. The failure only happens when coming off a down hill ramp curving to the right when coming to a complete stop. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact stated the problem was with the composition of the material made up of the vehicles rotors, the steel not being strong enough, leading to early failure of the brake. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure mileage was 22,000 and the current mileage was 33,500.
