Five problems related to brake disc pads have been reported for the 1999 Ford Taurus. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
At 19000 miles both front rotors were out of round, causing vehicle to vibrate when brakes were applied. Dealer notified, and replacd both front rotors and pads at 20,000 miles.
When pulling into the driveway and upon applying brakes consumer heard a scraping noise coming from brakes. Consumer has contacted dealer. Dealer has replaced abs brakes/ rotors and pads were cleaned. Problem still occurred, causing problems with steering wheel shaking. Please provide any further details.
1999 Ford Taurus brake and rotor equipment. The rotors warped after minimal use. The rotors and pads were replaced and experienced vibration when braking again about 4 weeks later.
