I work in the county juvenile probation department. We have a fleet of Ford Taurus vehicles and I have one of my own. The department has 3 and I have one 2000 Taurus plus we have several 2002 and 2003 Taurus'. We have to replaced the rotors on the front end of two of the office owned cars and my own personal car with less than 30,000 miles. Mine was replaced at 20-22,000 miles and it is again vibrating in the steering wheel (37,000 miles) when I stepped on the brakes lightly at a speed of around 50-60 mph. I don't know if this is a problem with all of the 2000 Taurus but it seems to be with the ones I have come into contact with.
Left front caliper fell off and Ford motor was not concerned.
