4 Accelerator Stuck problem

Failure Date: 09/27/2010

I was driving on the freeway 15 south from temecula, CA. I exited mission/fallbrook and proceeded to go up the little incline and my accelerator stuck. I had to take on a curvy road for about 4 miles, until I could find a spot to pull over. I ended up running a red light, after running the light I put the car in neutral and hit my brakes. I finally come to a stop, right before running into the remax building. Someone needs to check into this problem. I did a google search, and found out this is not an isolated incident. I contacted Ford and file an incident report and was told this was the first time they heard of this problem. I told them to do a google search and the information is out there. I had my car towed to rancho Ford. Their diagnosis was the accelerator cord needed repairing. When I spoke to Ford I was asked what do I expect Ford to do for me?
