The high ac line drips on the serpentine belt as a result of condensation during ac use. This causes a light squeal that leads to a loud squeal. During the summer, the only work around is having the belt cleaned regularly during the summer months. Eventually, while operating the vehicle on the expressway, the moisture caused the compressor to seize. When the compressor seized, it caused the belt to snap which caused the vehicle to have a loss of power during operation which made me almost lose control of my vehicle potentially leading to an accident. The manufacturer has acknowledged a manufacturer defect but will not get back to me to resolve the matter. The manufacturer suggested that I go to the dealership and pay for the repair with hopes that it will be recalled in the future and I be reimbursed. However, the dealerships aren't able to perform a repair because there is no way to repair it without a recall.
