Tl-the contact owns a 2009 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that the vehicle surged and unintendedly accelerated when the right tire hit against a side walk. The contact engages the brake pedal however; the vehicle proceeded to crash into a wall. The driver frontal air bag failed to deploy. The contact suffered spinal cord injuries. 2 Car Accelerates On Its Own problem

2009 Ford Taurus. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle sudden acceleration. The consumer experienced sudden acceleration on three separate occasions. He immediately tried to shift the transmission into neutral or park position and there was a loud clunk sound. Within a second or so, he turned the ignition to the off position. He then re-started the car and it resumed its normal operation. The consumer stated each time, he was stopped at a light, with his foot on the brake. The engine increased slightly during the first two incidents;perhaps several hundred rpm.
