This is a recurring, intermittent problem. Usually at slow speed the car looses power, then slips into neutral, then after a few seconds, bangs harshly into gear. TSB # 11 9 11 was performed November of 2012 which improved symptoms but problem still lingers. Ford will not do further repairs till the problem can be reproduced. I have so far failed to reproduce it on demand and the costs for each attempt to reproduce are my responsibility. In traffic the loss of power and transmission disengaging coupled with a harsh re-engagement is frightening and has a potential for contributing to an accident. A friend in mo, with the same type of car had the same symptoms and was lucky enough to have them reproduced for service techs. His name and car's VIN are withheld here for security. Pundman Ford in st. Charles mo recently replaced 2 sensors on the transmission to completely correct the problem. My problem is a known problem and should be fixed by Ford without the burden of reproduction based on my cars symptoms. I feel like Ford is sweeping my problem under the rug and hoping it will go away by ignoring it.
