The vehicle was taken to auto zone where it was diagnosed that the throttle body was faulty. The contact called autonation Ford fort lauderdale located at 1333 n federal hwy, fort lauderdale, FL 33304 where the dealer stated that there would be a fee for diagnostics. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure where it was confirmed that the vehicle was not part of the recall and did not offer any further assistance. The failure mileage was 85,963.
Engine stalls for no reason while driving on highway.
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 45 mph, the engine stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 59,000.
This is a police interceptor vehicle. When attempting to go from reverse to drive while the vehicle is still in reverse motion[approx. 5 mph] as soon as it is put in drive, the engine stalls. Same thing will happen when in forward motion and going into reverse. To my knowledge, all of the 2013 and 2014 police interceptors are experiencing the same issue.
