The steering has been getting stiffer and stiffer over the last year or so. There had been recalls on the power steering pump being faulty for the 2013 Taurus; but, my vehicle did not fit into that recall. My car has only 65000 miles. I think that my vehicle may have been overlooked in that recall. It is everytime I drive the car and is getting worse. Don't know the exact date I started noticing it; the date below is not accurate, but, it has being getting worse for a long period of time.
My first problem was the fuel pump. The second was the power steering. Now I am having an engine problem that I am waiting on a mechanic to check.
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Taurus. When approaching a stop light or stop sign with the brake pedal depressed, the vehicle shook from front to back. In addition, the vehicle stalled and failed to start, the steering wheel shook each time the vehicle started, and there was a burning odor inside the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the 02 sensors failed and the fuel pump had a leak. Both components needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 56,000.
