The contact owns a 2017 Ford Taurus. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the keypad lock detached for the driver’s side door. The contact also stated that whenever it rained, he was not able to enter the vehicle using the keypad lock. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with the keypad lock needing to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and referred the contact to a local dealer for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.
