Loss of hydraulic brake assist on super coupe. Pedal became hard to press. Both brake and abs annunciators illuminating. Troubleshooting indicates brake pressure switch failing to signal pump to charge system or accumulator has failed. Master cylinder and abs system are original equipment and thus 24 years old.

3 Brake Master Cylinder problem of the 1997 Ford Thunderbird

While driving, the brakes got stiff. When making a turn, the tie rods snapped off. The vehicle was taken to the dealer which found a crack in the master cylinder. The master cylinder along with other parts were replaced. Please provide further details.
