Driver side front and side door . These don't lock and the windows don't work but the passenger side does. Just stopped working last week and the small fuses are all fine. Vehicle was stationary. Not sure if this is a recall matter or not.

I turned on my rear defrost this morning. Left my driveway and got maybe a half mile and heard a loud pop noise. It blew a hole out of my back door on passenger side. I mean it blew a hole out of it. I have seen online that this has happened to several people with this vehicle. The rear defrost blew a hole in my window! I was driving down the road when this happened. It had been on for like 2-3 minutes when it happened.

Driver door latch failed traveling 65mph on freeway. Door swung open on a turn and would not re-latch. Ford has denied the claim. Ford is replacing the latch as it has a �broken pawl spring�. Door will not close until entire latch is replaced. According to dealership, they've encountered this same problem on other 2014 Ford Transit Connects. After replacing the latch, Ford insisted the vehicle was safe to drive and gave me the keys back. I did not even leave the dealership when the latch failed again and the door would not close again.

Failure with the transmission with only 8000 miles.
The sunroof shattered.
1. Stationary or in motion: the top of the front windshield seems to be losing its seal because when water is poured or when it rains, it enters the car and falls onto the dashboard. Also, the plastic box that stores the rear view window and which is attached to the windshield gets filled with rain and drips down the window. 2. In motion, on a gradual hill and from day one, the car would not shift up on a downhill, even a slight hill. It revs in the 2nd gear and rev until it would jump into third after revving in a lower gear for 2-4 minutes. I took it to 2 dealerships (one in tacoma, wa, and the other in marina Ford) and they said they couldn't repeat the problem even though I had plenty of video of it. 3. Stationary or in motion: lcd screen sometimes stops responding for no particular reason. You have to turn car off and on again to get a response.
After completion of an unrelated safety recall on lock latch install. I noticed that the shift light was blinking on & off. A shot time later, the vehicle when into park while in motion off rt. 15 in the town of gordonsville, virginia. The vehicle would not shift from park and the shift light would not illuminate as it normally would. This event nearly caused me to have an accident. I had the vehicle towed to the place of purchase at madison Ford in madison virginia. The towing company/firm had to drag the vehicle onto the flat bed truck. The vehicle would not shift out of park.
The middle row seats are defective. They fold down but will not come back up. They are stuck in the down position. I brought the car in to a Ford dealer's service department, and they've now had it for 3 days trying to figure out how to fix the problem. At this point they have told me that there is something wrong with the manufacture of the mechanism in the seatback that controls the seat folding function, and that the only way they can fix it is to install a new seat. The dealership's service dept has quoted $2000 for it as an out-of-warranty repair. In searching online, I see that this is a common problem with this vehicle model. I've seen that there are tsbs issued for this problem. But when the dealer puts my VIN into their system, my vehicle doesn't show up as part of the recall. I believe this should be a new recall, or an expanded recall, to fix a problem that Ford seems to already know it has -- they just haven't acknowledged every model or year that it effects. Additionally, there is an issue with the software running the car's clock -- when the car battery is low, the clock stops working, and will not allow the user to reset it to the correct time. The dealer said that the only way they can fix it is to do a software upgrade at a cost of $140 - $280 each time. This is also a well-known problem according to many Ford consumer message boards. I'm not sure if this qualifies for a recall as well, but it seems like a known defect that puts the vehicle owner at a financial disadvantage.
The window visors will not stay up. You pull them down to use and put up afterwards and they fall back down while driving.
Extreme windshield leak have tried to get Ford to fix. They reffed me back to the dealer. Leak all down the front around the roof. Water literally pours in and I can not drive on a rainy day. Have to car max dealer twice and they still.
Wal-mart alpharetta, GA installed the wrong tires on the front of my 2015 Ford Transit Connect in August 2017. Starke, FL wal-mart could not balance the tires due to wrong load limit having been installed, bubble on driver's side that could blow at any minute & tires having been counter-balanced when installed. I have contacted alpharetta wal-mart, provided all needed info, asked that they make arrangements with starke, FL wal-mart to install 2 new proper load tires at no cost to me. Assistant manager tony was to contact me the following day after wal-mart was advised of the problem. I attempted 3 times to fax the info but their fax machine would not work. I mailed all documentation to assure their notification. I have not heard from anyone. I am afraid to drive. If an accident occurs, this will immediately become a much larger problem than it is now. Please do something to make wal-mart correct this problem right away.

This is to advise you that complaint # 11169922 has been successfully resolved by wal-mart, starke, FL on January 15, 2019. I believe something should be done to the alpharetta, GA wal-mart #02941, specifically auto care manager troy who did not respond to me at all, however the problem was successfully resolved.
Windshield has many little specks that get worst when the sun light hits it making driving very dangerous it appears to be in the glass it self.
Rear window exploded while driving straight, less than 5 mph on city street.
The vehicle has a very loud humming noise coming from the front end. I installed balanced brand new tires, car does not pull to one side or the other. Turn slightly to the left and the noise disappears. Once the wheel is straight the noise comes back very loud. .

The vehicle was sitting parked curbside while our daughter was in school and on a break, I went to move the car closer and when I shut the driver's door, the back glass shattered and fell to the street.
The instrument cluster, including the speedometer can not be read in daylight, it is completely black, but can be read at night.
Car ran into guard ails on side of road turned I quarter over hadtobe totaled it may because of half shafts made in turkey that were lemons.
Two recalls have been issued on my vehicle and three different Ford dealers (modesto, CA. Tracy, CA. And stockton, CA. ) had refuse to service them, I do not know what to do,noise is high and disturbing and the slide is broken, I am afraid the door could open while driving. Recall 16s35 and recall 16s30 need help!!!.
As the vehicle was accelerating uphill at about 40 mph, the driver blacked out or lost consciousness and drove directly in to a large gazebo in the city square destroying the vehicle. Luckily the driver was not seriously injured. The driver was examined, drug tested and alcohol tested. All test results were negative. The smell of exhaust fumes in this vehicle leads us to believe the driver may have been subjected to carbon monoxide.
Sensors and rearview camera start going off for no reason when in motion on a city street or highway. This has happened several times most recent is 10/18/2016. Note if vehicle is put into park. And you wait 30 seconds it will stop. But starts up again, after 20 seconds.
We have four very young children who ride in the rear of our seven passenger Transit Connect in an area of tennessee where winter temps frequently dip into the single digits and often below zero. Our heater for the rear passengers has never worked. We have had the van back to the dealer twice. Still no rear heat.
Lower center counsel where the drivers right leg (just under knee) touches becomes extremely hot while running the heat on high at a 2-4 fan speed. Caused a 2nd degree burn that required medical attention.
Perhaps not a safety hazard, but the rear area of the 7 passenger is not heated, causing discomfort to passengers and pets. Actually, the rear "heater" blows cold air. Two dealerships have inspected my vehicle (5800 miles) and both reported that the design is, "inadequate", "poor", "not thought out", "crappy" and so on. That was the only explanation they could tender. I have posted this situation of the Transit Connect forum and have noted that others are experiencing the same problem. I just paid $32,000 for a new vehicle that has a totally inadequate rear heating system. Of course I purchased the vehicle at the end of July so I never gave the rear heater a thought. Come to think of it, I have never given a rear heater a thought as they always worked. When was the last time you checked the operation of the rear heating system before purchasing a new vehicle?.
When sun is shining can not read any instruments including speedometer. . Poor engineering.
Headlights aim at ground approx 30-40 ft in front of vehicle. Can not see beyond that at night. Took back to dealer and they adjusted them so now I can see about 2-3 car lengths in front of me at any speed. Dealer said they were fine even the way they were. I have had 2 close call events, one involving a pedestrian, I want this to be on record for the time when it is not just a close call and I actually hit someone. L am also reporting this to my insurance company. The dealer is autofair of manchester, nh.
Going 60mph heard a high pitched nose inside the front of the vehicle. Dealer thought there was a hole in the firewall. Not the case I am the first one to have this issue. Found out today after they had the vehicle for over 3 weeks that the vista window, which is on top of the vehicle, was loose and could fly off at anytime. Instant sunroof but think about the vehicles behind you that could cause a bad accident. It was determined by Ford that if you get inside the vehicle and push up on the glass and it moves then it will fly off at any time. This was caused by it not being installed correctly at the factory. I don't have a problem with this anymore as I traded that vehicle in on another one with out the window. .
As I'm driving home, I start to smell an unusual odor. I get home , pull in drive, turn off transit and start unloading groceries. This is when I notice smoke coming from the dashboard. I continue to unload while I keep an eye on the smoke. It worsens and I realize it was on fire and by now there were orange drops of fire falling to the floor. I yell for my neighbor who uses our fire extinguishers on site to try and put out the fire. We had to unhook the battery cables to finally get the fire out completely. It seemed centralized around the glove box on the passenger side. The dashboard on that side was completely burned. My first call was to apple Ford in red lion, the dealership it was purchased at less than a year prior. My second call was to my insurance company. Apple dismissed the insurance adjuster saying it was a warranty issue on day 2. The transit has been sitting at apple Ford untouched ever since (2 months!!) as we looked for answers we only got bounced between apple and corporate Ford with no resolution and no answers. Our insurance company has now gotten involved and their expert originator found it was the blower motor resister part that failed causing the fire. Ford is still uncooperative, and changing their story constantly.

The incident is that the vehicle is poorly made. Body wise. Within the first week I replaced the right windshield wiper. Within 90 I had replaced both of them. At 19,000 miles I needed brakes. I have 85,000 miles and have had 4 sets of brakes. I have had to replace 3 of the 4 door lock motors at the cost of $500. 00 each and still the doors do not lock or unlock as they did the day I bought it. I have replace 3 of the 4 tire sensors and still have problems with idiot light. I have replaced the passenger side tail lighting system not once but twice. Had the headlights fixed. The rubber around the drivers door has come loose within the first year, and I can see light out the floor in the backseat behind the driver and have since I bought it. I found the problem the first time I cleaned the interior. Guess door is not sealed or something. I spoke with the local charlon Ford where I bought the vehicle and they are not the least bit interested in even talking with me about these problems. I even tried to trade it in and was told the vehicle was so new there was no resale value basis at that time. Now the cooling system fuses are burning out and I am told by Ford in mojave there was a TSB, but I have yet to be notified. The vehicle is cute, easy to drive other than in the wind, but!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
