One problem related to front suspension strut has been reported for the 1997 Ford Windstar. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer was traveling 75mph and front coil spring on driver's side broke punctured tire. Vehicle was kept in control. Ford dealer had heard nothing about this, and wouldn't stand behind problem. Tire was replaced on warranty and the strut was replaced by the dealer.
