Windshield problems of the 1999 Ford Windstar

Five problems related to windshield have been reported for the 1999 Ford Windstar. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Windshield problem

Failure Date: 12/28/2003

Ford winstar 1999 windshield cracked while driving. Crack developed at the bottom, mid-width and is progreesing over the last two days. About 10 in. Long after two days. Was not hit by stone. Crack is clean, no dings, etc.

2 Windshield problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2001

Windshield has a 16 inch long hairline crack horizontally near bottom , was not hit by rock.

3 Windshield problem

Failure Date: 09/15/2000

While driving with driver window down, rear door windows shattered for unknown reason. Dealer contacted.

4 Windshield problem

Failure Date: 06/09/2000

While driving about 15 mph rear windshield glass shattered into pieces inside of vehicle without a reason.

5 Windshield problem

Driver's and passenger's side window has too much wind turbulence ,excessive wind noise when driven over 40 mph,causing a distraction to driver. Dealer claims there is no solution.
