1 Transmission Failure problem

The contact owns a 2002 Ford Windstar. The contact stated that the check transmission lamp illuminated. Also, he mentioned that while driving the transmission would fail and the vehicle would not accelerate. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission was defective and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not offer any assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 67,000 and the current mileage was 67,240.

2 Transmission Failure problem

Failure Date: 10/12/2003

The contact owns a 2002 Ford Windstar. While the contact was driving approximately 15 mph, the transmission failed without warning. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the transmission was replaced under the service warranty. The transmission failure reoccurred six months later and was replaced with a new transmission. The transmission and radiator were replaced on two different occasions. The contact paid the cost for the repair expense for the one radiator replacements. In addition, the vehicle experienced a failure with the front brakes and front rotors, which had required annual replacement . Also, while driving the rear axle fractured. The failure mileage was unknown.
