Failure Date: 09/30/1999

While travelling on highwat at 50 or more the right wheel axle came off vehicle, causing loss of control. Was able to get vehicle off to the side of the road without any incident or injury. Can NHTSA provide infromation on this matter.

2 Axle Assembly problem of the 1997 GEO Metro

Failure Date: 09/09/1999

Driver's side front axle keeps falling off which may cause a loss of vehicle control. Dealer cannot determine the cause. Gm has not provided help.
