Air Bag Not Deploy Problems of GEO Prizm

The contact owns a 1999 Chevrolet Prizm. The contact was driving 30 mph and became involved in a crash. The air bags failed to deploy. The driver¿s seat was pushed backward, causing the contact to sustain injuries to the back. The contact was wearing the seatbelt at the time of the seat failure. A police report was not available. The manufacturer was not contacted and the vehicle was destroyed. The failure mileage was 125,000. The VIN was not available.

The contact stated while traveling at 60 mph the contact's vehicle was involved in a collision with another vehicle. It was a frontal impact. Upon impact, the air bags did not deploy. The manufacturer has not been contacted. The vehicle was totaled.

On 4/19/05 I was in an accident with my 97 Geo prism. The vehicle air bags failed to deploy and the seat belts failed to operate correctly causing me to hit the steering wheel and dash causing severe injury to myself and minor passengers in the vehicle. I originally filed complaint through my attorney kenneth miller, jr. Baton rouge, la. I want to settle this case ASAP.

During an accident the air bags did not deploy and the seat belt equipment failed to lock. Everyone inside the vehicle sustained some type of injury (Geo Prizm). Updated 12/22/05.

While traveling at 25 mph another vehicle pulled out in front of consumer's vehicle, and it hit drivers side of other vehicle head-on. Consumer's vehicle airbags did not deploy. Please provide any further information.

While driving on a rainy day the front end of the vehicle struck another vehicle and driver airbag did not deploy.

A frontal collision with a pontiac vehicle in which both air bags did not deploy. Dealer / manufacturer were notified, and unwilling to assist in this matter.

Was traving at about45miles per hour,car cut me off, hit rear drivers side bumper, hit my bumper, went through my grill and hood, looking at front of car hole is in the upper left hand coner of decritive plate and bumper,bumper is damaged on top of it,and bowed down, dont understand why air bags did not deploy.

Air bag did not deploy in accident. I have had the air bag warning light on since I bought the vehicle. The dealership said it was due to a defective driver side airbag sensor, and this would not prevent the front airbags from deploying. Dealer stated that they could not fix the defect, because it would not correct the warning light problem, and they removed the sensor that was bad (for the side air bag), but didn't have one to replace it with. I contacted the manufacturer about this problem, and they could not resolve the issue. Daniel's told me they have three other Prizms with the same problem that they cannot fix. I feel that I could have been seriously injured due to the non-functioning safety component (front air bag) and that other people may be injured from the same problem. The policeman that investigated the accident also recommended that I find out why the air-bag did not deploy.

Frontal collision with a tree at 35 mph. Upon impact, both air bags did not deploy. Dealer/ manufacturer were not notified at this time.

While driving 50 mph the vehicle hit a deer at a frontal impact which caused serious damage to front end. Driver's and passenger's air bags did not deploy, which did not protect the occupant. Please provide further information.

At 7:30am consumer was driving approximately 55-60mph when she began to merge right. Consumer felt like she had hit something, she saw nothing. Then the vehicle began to spin and she saw her wheel rolling down the interstate, vehicle hit the wall and skidded down the side. Air bag did not deploy.

Vehicle was totaled from running into a wall and guardrail at 60mph, and driver's and passenger's side airbags did not deploy.

While at a standstill, a vehicle behind Prizm hit it, causing a frontal collision. Occurred at least 3 times, causing extensive damages to the front and back of the vehicle. Both airbags didnot deploy which did not protect the occupants in this accident and they sustained injuries.
