Manual Transmission Problems of GEO Tracker

1 Manual Transmission problem of the 1999 GEO Tracker

Failure Date: 06/24/1999

Transmission-could not get car into first gear and third gear grind on the up & down shift. Replaced both gears. Two months later happened again so transmission was replaced. Three months later same problem with first, fourth and reverse. Dealership replaced the complete clutch assembly. Ac-the ac is not a big enough unit for the vehicle. Have to leave it on high at all times to cool the back seat. Suspension- the vehicle is all over the road. Very hard to handle in the wind, rain or even any speed over 55 mph. Bumper- all the fasteners holding the back molding on fell out.

2 Manual Transmission problem of the 1996 GEO Tracker

Failure Date: 12/19/1997

Vehicle has experienced continued problems with the transmission not shifting properly, several repairs to transmission to try to remedy the shifting problems, however not able to be fixed properly.

3 Manual Transmission problem of the 2000 GEO Tracker

Transmission on 4dr, 4x4 model does not seem to shift all the time. When accelerating (hard or gentle) transmission refuses to shift unless foot is lifted off gas and then retry.
