2010 GMC Acadia. Consumer states vehicle was struck by lightening while sitting under a carport the consumer stated the vehicle would not start and the alarm kept sounding. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The consumer was informed the vehicle needed a body control module, a pcm, air bag sensor and ecbm was needed to make the necessary repairs to the vehicle. The consumer stated the dealer had her vehicle for 30 days.
The contact 2010 GMC Acadia. While parked the key could not be removed from the ignition. After several attempts the engine failed to start. Roadside assistance was able to start the engine, and engage the ignition key release control button which released the ignition key. The failure occurred on three seperate occasions. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and the battery was replaced. However, the ignition key continuously fails to release from the ignition switch.
