Rear driver's side brake light/turn signal is out. This is the second time in under a year. Local GMC dealer is not able to replace it within a reasonable amount of time causing a safety issue. This is a well known issue to GMC which is why the part is on back order. No other dealers in my area have the part in stock.

My 2025 Acadia denali's main tablet sized screen is impossible to view in bright daylight. This screen has controls for most of the vehicle's settings. If I want to change something such as the temperature setting, I can't see the proper button. This is clearly a safety issue as taking eyes off the road for an extended period just to make a simple setting change is a recipe for disaster. My dealer claims there is no solution as they are all like that.
The driver and infotainment center is so dim during the day that it is dangerous to drive the vehicle. I have taken the vehicle in to the dealer 3 times and each time the dealer indicates that there doesn't appear to be a problem, but at no time to my knowledge have they taken the vehicle out into the sunlight, there have been 2 software updates at the dealer and one ota update so far with no improvement. The screens are so dim that there is no way you can tell what icons are there. If you try to do anything while driving, you are taking way too much time trying to look at the screens and as a result a serious and unnecessary amount of distracted driving is occurring. There is no way you could wear sun glasses and view the screen because it appears black. Don't open the panoramic sunroof or the problem is worse. Anti glare screen protectors make the situation worse. I have attached a document I provided to the dealer service department on my latest visit.
After less than 500 miles, the right rear turn signal has failed. I think it is blinking but it is not. When changing lanes, other drivers have blown their horn at me.
Left rear tail lamp failed after only 90 miles. It is available for inspection upon request. This tail lamp also contains the left turn signal, so when turning left, the signal flashes faster. The dealership has been notified of the issue and has inspected the issue in question. There were no warning lamps indicating the lamp was not functioning until I turned my left turn signal on. Now, there is a check left tail lamp indicator every time I use my left turn signal. I have been waiting on the replacement part for approximately 6 weeks with no eta on a resolution, all while gm thinks its ok and safe that I drive my car without a left rear turn signal and brake lamp.
I have many problems with this vehicle, numerous times. Inaccurate fuel gauge reading- it has resulted in my vehicle running out of fuel and stalling, while on road. I have 4 children who are at risk of danger while in vehicle. The fuel warning light has illuminated when the gauge needle says I still have more than plenty of amount (a quarter of a tank or more at times. It differs). It was diagnosed with an electrical and fuel system failure. Electrical shorts and problems- having electrical shorts on and off. Check engine light comes on/off vehicle randomly failed to start. My vehicle was difficult to start and would require several attempts before starting. Power lock/unlock key fob doesn't work, replaced battery multiple times. Windows and sunroof power windows do no work. Radio and dash turn off and restart. Check airbag light has been coming on and off. Power train intermittently, the transmission shifts with a loud thump, at various speeds. Vehicle starts shaking and jerking while shifting gears and going different speeds. My vehicle slows down, power reduce engine and steering difficult at times. Other/ water leak- found water in all of my tail light assemblies, headlight assemblies, sunroof and windows leaking. There is no proper seal or has worn off, causing leaks in and repairs for many replacements, which are expensive temp fixes with no permanent solution. Causes accidents by not having necessary working equipment for driving conditions. Other:hood doesn't latch and stay open so difficult to even check fluids properly alone. Multiple dealers have inspected problems, and needs to be fixed. There are recalls out for many of these problems and my vehicle needs to be on the list for serious safety issues.

Low beams randomly stopped working. All other lights work.
I have 2 concerns and issues with my vehicle. 1st is the rear turn signal bulb and housing, I have read forums and researched the issue and many others have had the same issues and concerns, water is getting into the housing and is causing the bulb to blow and can possibly be causing fire/electrical with the wiring. 2nd is the front headlights the plastic round covering that's in surrounding the the glass that the light sits behind is melting and is causing visibility issues as well as potential fire. I can imagine why the plastic would be installed so close to a glass covering that holds heat. I really think that GMC needs to evaluate these concerns not only for safety but also the expense of the turn signal bulb that has been designed and cost over $100 because it couldn't be a simple bulb like most others. Also I have been informed of a recall of the airbag and can't get it fixed because the dealerships haven't been sent the part! I would like to be notified that someone has aknowledged my concern. Thanks.
A few years ago I was driving home and both headlights of our GMC Acadia went out at the same time. I drove home, in the country, in total darkness. We had them replaced by the garage, which was very, very expensive due to extreme difficulty accessing the headlights for this model. Since then, we have had to replace them two more times which we did ourselves due to the cost. We have owned this car since it's been brand new and have always had issues with seeing in the dark. For the last several years, we have had teen drivers driving this car. My son is worried so we recently we had it in the shop to adjust the headlights. They actually made them worse, which we didn't think could happen. They said they had their best mechanic on it but because they were doing it during their office hours, all daylight they never could see it at night. We had to get it readjusted back to where it was just to see again but back to still no good. I started researching to see if others are having similar problems and it does look like there are many complaints about loose wires in the headlights & fuse box, or maybe something related to the computer? some other years may have had a recall for this same problem. I really hope someone like you could investigate this. My husband is a retired state trooper and ready to get rid of this beautiful car just because the headlights!! we live in the country and our son is worried he will get in an accident or hit someone walking down the road at night because he can't see. A mother and son shouldn't have to stress about headlights/seeing at night/crashes when we have a nice car!! how do both headlights need replaced 3 times on the same car?? we are trying to see if they make led lights for this model but were told no. Any advice to have GMC help us with this before something happens? I would feel terrible if we could prevent something but just selling it and passing the problem on doesn't seem the answer to me. Thank you.

Headlights are so dim that we will not drive the car at night. Dealer's service manager says that he knows about the problem but "there's nothing I can do to fix it". I see a few similar complaints on this site, but nothing as to who to contact to get the problem solved nor any action on this on the part of the nhsta. Where do we go from here?.

I just purchased this vehicle and within a day, it was already giving an alert that something was wrong. Says "action required, shift to park". My car was in park. It was not shutting off due to the notification, which leads your battery to drain. The next day, as I was driving with my kids, the headlights start flickering, and then shut off. It left us driving in the dark and nearly causing a wreck because someone didn't see us coming because it was too dark. The dealership said they look at it, so I don't know what will happen moving forward. It's definitely not safe unless the issue is addressed.
*headlamp *hard to see at night; risk of being pulled over week of may 1st 2023. . . Headlamp works. . . Then turns orange. . . The goes out. Repeats this process consistantly ** currently there is a notice from NHTSA that gm extended headlamp module warrant unfortunately dealership is unaware of that. . . And also gmac warranty customer service the initial recall was for defective low-beam headlights and daytime running lights on certain gm makes and models that were prone to failure on more than 300, 000 vehicles. More complaints were received after the re-call, NHTSA opened an investigation on April 2017. One year later the recall was expanded to include an additional 180,000. In the affected vehicles, the headlamp driver module may overheat, which could melt the module under the hood and result in failing headlight and daytime running lights.

Recently the "service side detection system" light came on. Now the blind side monitoring doesn't work. While driving all of lights on the dash, radio, and headlights turned off. I was unable to see the road, my speed, or anything within the vehicle. I did some research and this is a vary common issue with these vehicles and nothing has been done to correct it.
The contact owns a 2022 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that while driving at night at an undisclosed speed, the instrument cluster light inadvertently turned on and off. Additionally, the speedometer was inoperable. The turn signal warning light was illuminated, and the headlights inadvertently illuminated on and off while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on three separate occasions; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The dealer replaced an unknown module, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

While driving the all the the service lights came on on the dashboard and the system as well as the stabilitrak notification. The car begin to not want accelerate and I had to put on the hazard lights on a drive very slow home. Upon arrival home the car would not start but would not power off either and the a "shift to park" warning message is displayed.
I noticed headlights not working low or high beam. Led lights around head lights worked and fog lights but no headlights. I normally keep it on auto, but I tried all positions and none of them worked.
Head lights quit working. I had two children in the car with me and it was night time, and I could’ve collided with another car. This just happened tonight, so I have not taken it to the dealer yet or a certified mechanic. There were no warnings of any kind before this happened.
Both headlights failed at same time during night driving resulting in very low visibility with only the daytime running lights working. My safety as well as others driving on the road were put at risk as my visibility of the road was impacted and my vehicles visibility to other drivers was impaired. This problem has occurred twice within in the last year making the vehicle unsafe to drive. The first time we just replaced both headlights thinking it was a fluke but having occurred a second time within a short period of time is very concerning. There were no warning lamps and at this time has not been inspected by dealer as there is not a recall and is an expensive repair. This is a serious safety hazard and could have easily caused a bad accident.
The headlights don't work even after replacing. It rains in the vehicle from the sunroof. The gas tank isn't registering even after fixing it. So the engine doesn't know how much to put out etc etc and it makes the car jerk horribly. This vehicle is a fire hazard due to raining inside on everything upfront. I have kids I pray nothing happens!!.

The contact owns a 2017 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that the "shift to park" message was displayed on the instrument panel while attempting to park the vehicle. Additionally, there was a constant beeping alert coming from the vehicle during the failure. The contact later discovered that the rear brake lights and reverse lights were illuminated during the failure. A local dealer was contacted about the failure and made an appointment for a repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not under recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

My left rear turn signal is not working. It is gm part number 13582912. I have checked with several gm dealers who have. Confirmed there are none available. Just for the sake of it, 3 dealers have it on order but have no confirmed delivery date. Some parts stores say it’s is discontinued. There are no other aftermarket parts to substitute. This is a significant safety issue the gm needs to correct.
2013 GMC Acadia left brake light, tail light, turn signal bulb is burned out. There is no way to purchase another bulb. Retail stores don't have it. General motors corporation discontinued it. 2013 to 2017 GMC Acadia all affected. I've tried gm direct,gm parts online no one has it. GMC customer service was no help, Chevrolet customer service was no help. No left brake light. No left turn signal. Accident waiting to happen.

Hi, I think the 2011 Acadia denali should be in the recall along with the terrain. The reason being that I always get flashed at night and every night as though I have the high lights on which I don’t. That’s every night. Please check into this. With all this road rage going on I worry I might come across one angry person or cause someone to wreck. Please I’m worried. Thank you.

The headlights barely light up enough roadway to be of any use at night. Obviously can't drive with high beams constant. The only help is to use the fog/driving lights. However, that only lights up about 30 feet in front of the vehicle. Driving at night is hazardous to one's health as you cannot see far enough down the road to avoid anything that is imminent on the side of the road, you can not see to avoid anything on the side. Please help. Also, the manual is explicit about not using aftermarket headlamp bulbs to try to correct the problem.
Headlights are so dim that it makes driving difficult and unsafe, particularly in rain and on rural, unlit roadways. Virtually unnoticeable change in lights when changing from dim to bright, and no side lighting whatsoever to allow visibility of deer/wildlife, etc. In ditches. Even turning from a highway onto a side road in rural areas is difficult and dangerous. I have found numerous complaints from others regarding this model, but no recalls or solutions.
My 2021 Acadia just stooped working as completly shut off. I had no power to contact onstar or more importantly to put my 4 ways(hazard lights) on to signal or warn other motorists that there is a problem ahead. I could not push the vehicle as it is locked in gear because of the termination of power. I have had this exact problem happen 3 times leaving me and my family stranded on a busy road with nothing working. On each occasion I have removed my family from the vehicle in fear of being rear-ended! this would not only cause an accident with harm or fatality to my family, but has put that same risk to other motorists on the road. When I have had the vehicle in the dealership (champion Buick/GMC of brighton) in which it needs to be towed, they have not been able to find or confirm this issue. The dealership has had the vehicle for multiple weeks with help and assistance of gm with also no resolution. This is a very intermittent issue and when it happens it is an extremely dangerous situation. The vehicle gives no warning except for a total shut down.

2015, GMC, Acadia slt. Rear brake calipers had to be replaced out of my pocket after rear brake calipers froze and locked the brakes in the middle of traffic. This almost caused a major accident in which lives may have been lost or severe injury sustained. The rear brake calipers were inspected by a mechanic. Abs, traction control and stabiltrak warning lights illuminated. Had to have the vehicle towed four times due to rear brakes seizing. Vehicle was sold to me by posner park Chrysler, highway 27, davenport, FL who did not fulfill the promised repairs and lied to bbb but researching their submitted used car inspection sheet, they destroyed the rear brake calipers when installing rear rotors and pads and never did install the passenger side fog light assembly as promised after they claimed they had ordered it and held up vehicle delivery until the evening before my departure from florida back to new york. They were deliver the vehicle by 11:30 am, August 17, 2021 but I did not drive away with it until 5:00pm, the clock-out time for all mechanics in florida.
Can not see at night with low or high beams. Lights are very poor and dim. Transmission always feels like it's slipping( 50,000 miles ). Shifts hard.
Tail lights/brakes light/blinkers the light kit cover seals break allowing water into the light kit. Water collects and shorts out the bulbs causing a dangerous hazard when rear lights fail to work in the proper manner. I have called to several places and am being told, yes, GMC has a defect on their rear tail lights. Seals were not done very well and supply cannot keep up with demand. The lights are over 300 each which is absolutely ridiculous. A part that is necessary to keep one safe and be able to signal to other drivers should not be this expensive when the manufacturer did not build a good product.
Drl sockets melted safely issue a service bulletin was issued but not a recall , gm will now not fix it unless I pay 2,600 this is a fire hazard.
I have a 2019 GMC Acadia that has had no vehicle damage and less than 29k miles. The vehicle has condensation in the headlamp on the right front. No damage at all to the vehicle. Clearly a defect in the seal. Doesn't even have to rain and moisture will be apparent in the headlamp. GMC has offered to pay 60% of the repair costs of a $400 part and $1200 labor bill. This clearly needs to be investigated since they have had issues in the past of headlamps issues in the Acadia models and others.
Left rear brake light dose not work, that is also the left rear turn signal. Part number 13582912 brake/turn signal bulb. GMC can not provide me with one. Chevrolet can not provide me with one. None of the chain store parts companies have them either. I have call GMC customer service line and also Chevrolet customer service line. They are of no help. Thank you.
Service side blind detection started going off then the side blind detection stopped working completely. Now the entire electrical system is not working correctly and was told the side blind detection monitors can cause the entire electrical system to malfunction.
