Tire size is p235/65r18 I purchased these tires in December of 2024. I am concerned that these tires were built without the correct compound to be qualified as an all-season. I have never had tires this bad in snow, even though they are all season brand-new tires with full tread. I immediately bought a set of snow tires for the vehicle. I again tried these tires in snow in November of 2025 after they had roughly 10,000 miles on them, and again found them to be the worst tires in snow that I have ever driven. I am concerned these were a mis-build.

Driving at 70mph on interstate 69 near charlotte michigan at around 10 pm on Wednesday 8/23/2023. Passenger side front tire suddenly deflated. Limped the SUV into a store parking lot at interchange. Continental 235/65r18 106h tire was changed by road side service and spare installed. This morning , while examining tire and rim , found two long radial cracks approximately 50 to 75 mm in length on the outboard surface of the tire. The cracks are about 90 degrees apart. The vehicle has just under 34000 miles on the oem installed tires. The reason I am contacting NHTSA is that the cracks do not look like road hazard/debris, rather a split in the sidewall. I have not taken the tire back to the dealer or a tire store. I did photo document the failure and cracks.

Michelin premier ltx 235/55r20 premature wear first set was replaced 12/11/2019 with 27,952 miles on vehicle. Complaint is the second set checked on 7/23/2023 with 49,122 miles on vehicle or 21,170 miles on tires showing premature wear measuring 6. 1 to 5. 9 /32nds groove depth. Tires are not going to make the 60,000 miles wear rating expected for such an expensive tire. Tires are rotated when vehicle is serviced, alignment was checked before installing new tires.
235/65r18 all 4 tires worn down after 27,000 miles, suppose to have 60,000 mile tread life. Took my Acadia into the dealer for regular oil change and was informed all 4 tires were worn passed the safety margin. He told me there was a service bulletin about the tires but since my warranty had run out there was nothing he could do. He never mentioned the service warranty or that the tires were wearing severly.
The contact owns a 2017 GMC Acadia equipped with bridgestone tires, tire line: dueler h/l alenza plus, tire size: p255/55/r20. While the vehicle was in for service, the mechanic stated that all the four tires were dry rotted and might continue to experience the failure. The contact stated that the tires were purchased new in 2021. The local dealer was contacted regarding the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000.
Bought firestone all season tires dot v60m al1 . Tires worn down very very quickly all the way across in less than 5k miles. Vehicle alignment had previously been done a few months prior. Dealer tried to claim it was alignment , alignment shop said it was a tire issue. I believe the tires rubber has a problem with the compound formula. Firestone refuses to cover the tires. Said that extremely fast treadwear isn't covered. Imagine that! paid $657. 00 for a set of tires that within 5 months need replacing . Had my wife got into an accident and been injured or killed. I would of made another example out of firestone like what was done in the 90s when Ford explorers were turning into crash derby cars due to defective tires made by this company for oddly a comparitively sized vehicle.

I have a 2016 GMC Acadia. It has approximately 24,000 miles, and was purchased new by me. The factory tires, goodyear fortera hl edition, are exhibiting significant cracking between the treads all around each tire. The tires have been properly maintained, have even tread wear, and adequate tread depth. There was a recall for the same issue in 2015, but I was advised by goodyear that my model year is not included.

Within a month after buying our 2010 GMC Acadia the front right tire was continually going flat. We were constantly refilling the air on a weekly basis. Took the car into the dealership to have it looked st and the couldn't find anything wrong with it on more than one occasion. We used fix a flat and continued to refill air and it has gone longer periods without going flat although tire is constantly low. Took the car in to dealership July 2012 to have oil changed and serviced with tire rotation etc. When I was driving home with 3 of my kids in the car, going 65-70 on the freeway the car started shaking. It wasn't the steering wheel but the whole car itself. It felt like one of the tires was going to fall off or the engine was going to fall out of the car. I checked the tire pressure and the psi to that tire was the same as what it was before I dropped it off for service, so the dealership didn't fill the tires but I knew I didn't have a flat tire either. I took the car straight back to the dealership on my way to work in the morning. They told me that the tread was separating from the tire and I needed a new tire. I think it should be covered under warranty as this had been an ongoing problem since we bought the car and have complained to the dealership multiple times. Just because they couldn't fond the problem before doesn't mean there wasn't a problem before.
