Vsa Warning Light On Problems of GMC Acadia

Stability track warning light keeps coming on I was told by my mechanic that it could be the sensor so I had it replaced with a factory brand GMC sensor and I'm still having the same problem. Also my passenger side air bag keeps saying it needs to be serviced but it's never been deployed and no one has an answer for why this warning keeps coming up the stability track warning comes on as I'm driving every time after about 10 to 15 minutes and the passenger side air bag warning comes on as soon as I start the vehicle engine. And also I have a problem with code p0700 it keeps turning on my check engine light and I had it fixed but it still keeps turning on . Rattling noise in idle.

Control board shows service stability track, service traction control, lights on dash board goes on and off as if there's electrical issues. Stability track light goes on and off.

The lights are going in and out, and the high beams as well as the taillights are doing the same. I was told there is a short in the system. The steering system is making a very loud noise any time the steering wheel is moved. The stability lights as well as others keep coming on and off but when checked shows nothing is wrong.

My son was driving down hwy 281 and all of a sudden locks started going up and down like crazy, traction control, stability track, engine light all came on and car would not accelerate. Thank goodness my fianc� was with him and they managed to get home safely. The next day all the same things above plus backup camera not working and when it park, the box around p kept flashing on and off. Now car won't accel hardly at all. This is very dangerous when your out on roads. There's needs to be a recall and GMC needs to take care of their customers before someone gets killed! I have seen several posts with the same issues so what is taking GMC so long to fix their problems on vechicles?.

What's not wrong with this car?? I bought it used with an extended warranty. After a year everything went downhill. It has been in and out the GMC service at lease 3 times a year. I don't even know where to start. The airbag light is on but it isn't covered under the airbag recall. What about safety? there has been a check stability trac and traction lights on as well on several occasions. When those lights come on the vehicle decelerated while driving across the kentucky bridge which almost caused a 12 car pile up. In addition, it also skips gears. When trying to speed up it jerks into the next gear like a hiccup. The dealership stated these problems were electric and wear covered under my extended warranty. I suggested that maybe the transmission was bad. However, they stated otherwise. Literally, 4 months later the transmission is out. But what a surprise no longer under warranty. Now I'm looking at a $5,000 bill. The service department stated that it is transmission failure due to an electric issue (out of my control). There is nothing that I could have done to prevent it from happening. But after talking to gm they, basically explained that they don't stand by their product after 100,000 and that they can't prove that the issues are actually manufacturers defect. I strongly disagree as there are hundreds of people experiencing the same hardships as me with the 2008 vehicle. On carcomplaints. Com, for GMC Acadia, 2008 is the worst year with the most complaints for transmission failure. How aren't these already recalled by now? they are nothing but junk! not work anything. Even a GMC service rep. Said these were the worse year and get them in the shop all the time. Why won't GMC just isssue a recall and take them off the market. I have all the proof of regular maintenance and service receipts.

While driving to work this morning going around the curve the vehicle lost power. The stability, traction control and engine light all came on. I had to maneuver my vehicle oout of harms way to ensure my daughter was safe. My speed went from 55 to 20 in less than 10 seconds. Loss of power on any vehicle is scary but this is is very serious and something need to done to rectify these vehicle issues. Please take a look into this issue before some is injure or killed. The contact owns a 2011 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that the vehicle had drastically reduced speed with no warning. Various warning lights flashed on the instrument panel, the service traction control light, the service stability traction control light and then the engine reduced speed warning indicator as the vehicle drastically reduced speed to less than 15 mph. The contact had to coast the vehicle over to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic for further inspection and diagnosis. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 55,675.

I purchased a 2008 Acadia in November 2016. The seller stated that they had to order a airbag and replace the old one. Alone with the seat belt. I didn't get the car until a month later. When I got the Acadia it was making some whining noise, wouldn't crank back up, rattle and clatter, dragging in the transmission like driving in a certain gears, noisy in neutral. Airbag, seatbelt and stability traction control light continue to come on. Needed a alternator and now the engine gone. I been having problem's with the car since I got it, and it been only 13th months. We were driving twice and the vehicle shut down on us on the in-state. We had to get it pull back home. Several times driving on the main highway and street it wouldn't go in great. I don't photos at this time. I would have to wait until tomorrow, to go outside and take pictures. When I got the vehicle the left driving side tire light continue to come on, still having problem's with changing the tires left back and right front. Don't know how many miles was on there. I tried to place an x n the seat belt and unknown other space, but it wouldn't let me.

Our 08 Acadia has been one problem after another since we purchased it. The latest issue is the transmission going out while on a family vacation going 65mph down the interstate. The stability track lights start lighting, the engine light comes on and then the transmission just stops working. We get the car pulled over, shut it off, turn it back on and it resets itself. It starts going, but then goes back out again. We've had towed it to our final destination. We are now more than $4500 out of pocket and ruined our family trip, we couldn't go anywhere. A transmission shouldn't go out with only 72k miles. We see this is a very common problem with GMC Acadia and nothing is being done by GMC. This is a major safety concern and this should be addressed along with the power steering issues. Many families can't afford these major issues, and shouldn't have to after paying so much money for this vehicle. Please investigate this issue and get relief for Acadia owners!! GMC is aware of this problem and continue to ignore this problem.

Water leaking into vehicle cabin entering through panoramic sunroof and ending in the electronic components under the driver side causing multiple dashboard warning lights to turn on and inoperable at times when lit. On two instances vehicle unable to start took to dealership for repairs and after a few days and unable to replicate was sent home. Currently breaks and electronic stability control lights come on and off intermittently and unable to operate cruise control.

Cruise control stopped working and then stability light, traction control light and abs lights all came on. Took it to get reprogrammed, happened again next day. Took it a second time happened again a week later. Took it again a 3rd time happening now a month later. So mad.

2008 GMC Acadia- steering problems!!- 65,000 started noticing power steering loss when slow turning sometimes. . . Off and on. . . Then got more often and much worse. . . Replaced rack ($300). . . . . Problem still not fixed. . . Next trying to replace power steering pump ($$ yet to find out). . . Recall on headlight- socket melted and replaced. . . . Airbag light continues to come off and on. . . Traction control, stability track, and airbag light come off and on randomly. No sound. . . Took to GMC dealership, they told us it was the radio. Replaced radio($450), still didn't work. Dealership stated amp blew and needed new amp ($400). . . Thought it was the amp the entire time due to the cd player working visually, but no sound in entire vechicle for any electronic feature. Shifting randomly when going down highway. Gas mileage horrible-- about 14 to 14 . 5mpg-- much worse than when we first got it at 48,000. . . Love the look and when it works. . . . Why is there no recall will the power steering?? come on GMC step up and do the right thing already!!!.

The contact owns a 2008 GMC Acadia. While driving various speeds, the vehicle shook, stalled, and shut off. The stability and traction control lights illuminated. The contact pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road, turned off the vehicle, and restarted it after a couple of minutes. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer who reset the "stability and traction controls", but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

2010 Acadia transmission and traction control safety problems. While driving 70mph on the highway, the traction control system alarm came on in addition to a flashing stability control and abs warning lights. The rear passenger wheel locked up, the transmission downshifted into 3rd gear causing the vehicle to veer into the right lane. Additionally, we have been having power steering pum problems with the vehicle which made the vehicle difficult to control in this circumstance. Fortunately, there was no other vehicle in the right lane and maanged to pul the vehile off the road. I had my family in the vehile at the time which made everyone very scared for their safety. The vehicle was turned off and restarted which erased the abs and traction control warnings, but the engine check light remained on and was unable to keep the transmission in drive. The dealer replaced some ecms, but could not fix the power steering issue. Three weeks later, the transimission started shifting hard and after 2 visits to the dealer is not being ivestigated for another ecm failure. The electric systems and power steering issues make this is a very unsafe vehicle.
