My car whined and groaned when you turn the wheel so I took it in and had the power steering pump replaced and now my wheel. Wont turn at all . Upon reading many complaints with this vehicle found it may be the rack and pinion I am. Going to have to tow to a different mechanic to see if the new problem is covered under warranty.
The front passenger tire blew out causing me to run into the ditch. I was the only person in the vehicle but all the rear airbags deployed in the back but not in the front. The front seatbelts locked but not the back. . . .

The 2017 GMC Acadia I own will not recognize when the vehicle is in park. It states to move to park to shut the vehicle off when the vehicle is already in park. This happens when trying to shut off the vehicle but I am unable to because of the "shift to park" warning. I have to push the stick forward and turn the car on and off several times for the message to disappear. Had this fixed by GMC but they refused to cover under powertrain warranty.

Driving on the freeway the check stability control warning flashes and the motor gets really loud. Cleaned the ground wires and the motor is no longer making the loud noise or jerking but not my seat heaters no longer work and now the battery light flashes but just 2 months ago I replaced the battery and alternator! all of this happens while driving!.

Car gives "shift to park" notification when car is shut off even though it clearly shows it is in park. Car will not fully shut off. Have to turn car back on and wiggle shifter or put it in reverse/drive and then back in to park for the car to fully turn off.
Shift vehicle into park. Turn vehicle off. Warning light comes on and says "shift to park. " turn vehicle back on. Move shiftier from park to 3rd gear. Turn vehicle off. Warning light comes on and says "shift to park. " do this a few more times and it finally stops giving me the warning. It does this intermittently.

steering assist reduced drive with care warning light shows up at least once a month. The air conditioner and temperature gauge do not work when this is on. We had it checked and there was zero freon in it. Had that refilled totaling over $400 because it's a special kind that takes the 1234 hook up. Steering assist reduced drive with care warning light came on again like it does every month. Husband popped the hood to take a look and it appears freon has spewed while steering assist light is on, explaining why it was empty when we took it to be checked. The check engine light is also on now too. When powering vehicle off, a message on the screen says climate control not available when vehicle is powered off. Additionally we get a shift to park message when we power off the vehicle. Ready to seek legal action.
2007 GMC Acadia, service traction control and stabilitrack keeps popping up. It loses the power steering off and on if you drive it in the rain at any speed. Windows can not be controlled by drivers master buttons. Vehicle has 173000 miles on it. Purchased used from buckeye Nissan. Noticed issues right away but their mechanic said there is nothing coming up when they hook up the diagnostics. No warranty when purchased used, this is my first vehicle purchase. I was able to drive the vehicle for a year then got the service traction control and stabilitrack reading and the vehicle would not go over 5 mph. Still paying payments on the vehicle, I could not afford to take it to a mechanic so I purchased a cheap car from a friend and the Acadia sat in my drive way for 2 years. After I paid it off I started to look into repairing it. I put a new battery in it after it sat for so long and it started right up and drove like there was never an issue. I have since replaced the torque converter. Still get engine light and traction control turns off and service stabilitrack reading but has not had it slow down to 5 mph again. Now if I drive in the rain the power steering cuts in and out and is extremely dangerous as it happens at any speed. I have seen several reviews on this vehicle that say the same as mine. The worst part is that gm is aware of these issues but will not assist in repair if the vehicle has over a certain amount of miles on it.
Shift to park known issue has started. I've had the car for 1 yr. 5 months. I know there are lawsuits on this issue. Continuous issue and getting worse. This needs to be taken care of by gm. It is epidemic in their Acadias. Stationary and putting it into park. It doesn't recognize it's in park! it's been occurring off and on over a week, not today, every time I try to turn off the vehicle.
Every time I go to the gas station after filling up my truck with gasoline, my vehicle will not start up right away. I have to press the gas pedal lightly in order for it to start up. This just started recently.
The first problem I had was the shift. I got it fixed. I have it all documented. Now for the second time in the past 2 weeks my car has flashed every warning light possible. I took it in the first time and was told the codes did not store and to keep driving it. I finally got a video of the problem happening and dropped it off for a second time. During the problem all gages go to zero and the gear symbol disappears. The last time I drove the car it accelerated on its own and I did not have control of the vehicle.
I have received the shift to park error message on the dash when the car is already in park. One time with the car off, the error message on, the car started to roll despite it being in park. I had to restart the car, shift the shifter down then back to park back down and back to park before the car would recognize the shifter was in park. Each time this happened when I was in a parking spot and in my garage.
Air bag light comes on and does not go off. Traction stablzer light on to and traction control light on.

The second row seats get stuck from time to time when attempting to fold them down. We have also been having issues with the shift gear when trying to place it in park. When the car is placed in park and we try to turn it off, the car will refuse to shut off and will ding until finally the car registers that the shift gear is in park. I have to turn on and off the car multiple times, and even wiggle the gear multiple times before the system finally recognizes that the car is in park.
The abs and the traction control light came on all of sudden when I was driving down the interstate and it just stays on.

The contact owns a 2014 GMC Acadia. While driving on the interstate approximately 50 mph and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle's speed decreased after the service stabilitrak and service traction control warning indicators illuminated. Vehicle started jerking and would accelerate. Contact continued to drive the vehicle with the speed decreasing while driving down the interstate. I came to a stopping point and turn off the engine and restart it then the service traction control and service stabilitrak warning went away. The vehicle has not been taken to dealer for diagnosed nor repaired. It seem to be doing it more often now.

Stabilitrak always reports off and brake warning always displays on dashboard, while on or running. Had it looked at by 4 mechanics. Breaks are fine. Engine wont start after everytime I pump gas. I have to pump accelerator sevral times for engine to start. Had it looked at again. Problem is ongoing. Also, slowed down on one occasion while driving on the hwy. Had to pull over since accelerator would not function. After 30mins or so. Was able to restart.

The traction warning suddenly comes on then the stability service warning jumps on. . . . Automatically lowering my speed while I'm on the freeway driving. When I pull over and turn the car off then turn it back on. . . The light goes away. This happened several times. Dealership can not find anything wrong. It happens when I hit a pot hole or speed bump.

This all began at about 75000 miles. It first started with the stabilization/traction light coming on while driving once this happened you could not accelerate the car. I once was on a highway in the middle lane when it happened I could not accelerate and had to try to get over to the break down lane. This happened several times but then turned into a completely different problem. While driving the battery would start to die with no warning. When this happens you can not jump the car you have to bring the battery to be charged on a charger. Although the car won't start the other things like lights, radio, etc will still work. This happened several times but once the weather was warm it ran perfect for 4 months. The first day it was extremely cold the battery died while driving. I also had a headlight go out on the drivers side and about 3 weeks later it came back on and stayed on. I have brought it to several places but nobody has been able to figure out the problem. I can't keep spending money to get it diagnosed with no results. After researching online it seems to be a very common problem in the Acadia.
Converters continue to go out. I've replaced several times then with in a few months same codes pull again. They replace it again. Now they refuse to give me any warranty on them since they have been replaced so many times in a short amount of time. There's got to be something else cause the same codes to pull but GMC shop keeps saying same thing.

On 2/6/20 after getting into my vehicle and turning on the ignition vehicle wouldn't start so the same day I had my vehicle towed to a certified dealer in union. At the dealer they first stated the ground wire to starter was chewed up so they replaced the starter and then a few hours later they stated no comunication with ecm & bcm. They then stated theyfound water intrusion on passage side fuse block that shorted out the ecm and bcm. At dealer they replaced fuse block, ecm and bcm. Well after $2027. 05 later they was able to get my vehicle running again but now the car radio and my onstar in vehicle don't work, also traction control,,stabilitrak , abs & airbag service lights are on. Two weeks later my car battery died so I replaced dead battery with a new one. My thing is this if all these are issues that people all over are complaining about I truly think all these issues should be addressed and fixed a. S. A. P. Before someone gets hurt or killed. By the way I just brought 2012 GMC arcadia on Nov. 27,2019 and I shouldn't have to be going out of my pocket trying to get all these issues fixed.
Service air bags light came on. Occasionally service traction control light comes on and traction control turns off and back on while driving when traction control returns warning light disappears. Service air bag light came on while driving and has not came off. All of the above happened on a highway going no faster than 55mph dry conditions. Vehicle has not been in an accident while owned by current owner.
I turned the car off and it displays a message shift to park, even though the car is in park. It doesn't allow the car to shut off completely. The engine turns off, but the electrical stays on. When we try to drive it, it is slow to accelerate and the rpms shoot to 4 and don't go down unless breaking. Finally the car will not accelerate past 55mph and the rpms stay at 4, with the engine being very noisy. This left us stranded an hour from our house because the vehicle is not safe to drive. Fortunately this occurred in a parking lot. We drove a few miles to try to get to our dealership, but did not feel safe driving.

Was backing up on a driveway and was next to a car and apparently was closer than I thought and hit the car because my side detection system is not operating and no sensors or warning sounds went off. service side detection system is on my dash.
I was driving down the highway and the stabilitrak turned itself off and a warning light came on saying it was off and to service it. I tried to push the button and it did nothing and then it cleared itself and turned back on without any prompt and when slowing down and pressing the brake pedal the steering wheel vibrates and the whole right side of the car shakes.
While driving my GMC Acadia the car started loosing power, it then gave a message that said traction control off/on it also had stability track message.
Put car in park and push button to shut car off and motor turns off but it's in accessory mode and the display message says to shift to park. Takes numerous times turning car on and off and moving the shift button around before it recognizes that the car is in park. It started a month age where it would happen only once and when I turned the car on and back off it stayed off which made me think it was human error. This last time it took me an hour before it recognized it was in park search the internet and see other people having the same problem and GMC is aware but no recalls.
It has happen to me when my vehicle is in motion and when I go above 65 miles ph. The GMC starts to heat up and sends a message on the display saying transmission is hot a lot of smoke comes out and the speed decreases completely I have to come to a complete stop and park in the street until it cools off what is dangerous is that it has happen when I'm in the high way putting me at risk to crash I made some fixes one time the mechanic charged me about $500 dollars to fix it now is doing it again and they want to charge me about a $1000 dollars more I have been having a lot of issues with the GMC since I got it and I only have like between 9 to 11 months with the GMC hopefully I could get help so they could fix it by the company at no extra charge.
9 days after taking possession of my 2019 Acadia, with less than 900 miles on it, it stopped working. The first time I had a problem I had gotten out of the truck to run into a store. When I tried to start it I was getting a message to shift to park. The electric was on, but the truck would not start. I called for a tow truck. The tow driver got the truck started and advised me to drive it to the dealer less than 1 mile away. While driving on a major road I lost my power steering and stabiltrak, making it feel like I lost my brakes. My experience at the dealer was horrible. They changed my battery and said they fixed the problem. I did not even make it 24 hours before having the same problem. The electric was on but the truck was not running. I was getting a message to shift to park. The truck was off and parked but the dashboard was showing d then p again. I called for another tow, and this time it was actually towed. This time I was told it had to do with the computer. Service fixed it and held onto the truck for a few days to make sure it continued working without problems. 6 days later they called me to pick it up and it didn't even make 5 hours this time. The truck was still running this time, but the electric was going crazy. Every light was lit on the dashboard. As I was driving it to the dealer, the speedometer was going crazy. I was driving steady at around 35 mph and the speedometer was showing 1, 0, 5, 0, 30, 31, 6, 0, 5, 31, 32, 1, 0, 5, 0. (I have a video of this but cannot attach it). So that was 55 days ago and I still do not have my truck back because gm is supposedly buying it back. I have concerns seeing 4 other people on this forum alone with the same problem.
Will not shift out of park.
The vehicle was stationary and did not allow me to turn the power off. Shit to park message would not go away even though the vehicle was clearly in park. I had to try 10-15 times to put the vehicle in other gears and park again and turning on and off until it eventually turned off. This has happened several times and if I just leave it with the message there the car eventually drains my battery. It has been happening for a week during several different occasions and am concerned it could drive away on its own if it happens again and I can't get the message to turn off.
When I put my car in park I get a warning that says my car is not in park action required. The vehicle bell continues to ding and will not allow me to lock the car. My fear is getting out the vehicle and it starting to roll not knowing if the vehicle is actually in park. This is very scary not knowing if it is safe to get out of the vehicle.
