Steering Wheel problems of the 1997 GMC C1500

Two problems related to steering wheel have been reported for the 1997 GMC C1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Steering Wheel problem

Failure Date: 11/03/1997

While driving would experience a lack of control in steering wheel. At higher speeds steering wheel canot be controlled, an intermitten problem. Sometimes steering wheel goes limp. Vehicle would drift into another lane.

2 Steering Wheel problem

Power steering pump shaft u twisted into leaving only manual steering.
