GMC C2500 owners have reported 1 problem related to carburetor (under the gasoline fuel system category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The accelerator sticks and is extremely difficult to depress. The carburetor design allows carbon to build up in the throttle body throat. I often have to "hit" the accelerator with my foot to dislodge the butterfly. This happens worse after the vehicle has been setting for an hour or so. It will also happen after departure while setting in traffic or at stop lights. I use mid grade fuel and the truck is well maintained. The dealership wants to charge up to $100 to clean the carbon out only to have it return in a matter of months. I have talked to others that have experienced the same condition/problem. In my opinion this condition is a true safety issue.
