Fuel injection pump has failed and been replaced 6 times over the life of the vehicle . One failure resulted in fuel leaking on exhaust system this could have been extremly dangerous. Wiper failures is an ongoing problem wich occurs intermittently and unexpectedly -very dangerous !!! my fiance also owns a 1996 GMC c1500 which has the same problem we have been told by dealer that only a select group of vehicles has a recall issued and a gm technician has told us that the same wiper circut board has been used on several different gm vehicles over a ten year span. Gm should be forced to repair any gm vehicle affected by this serious safety issue and offer a refund to any customer that has had an out of pocket expense !!!!!!!.
