The contact owns a 2023 GMC Canyon. The contact stated that while at a car wash, there was an abnormal sound coming from the roof. The contact inspected the vehicle and noticed that there was a dent in the roof panel. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and repaired under customer service program: 23-na-209. After the repair, the vehicle was taken to the car wash and the same failure occurred. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer where it was diagnosed a second time and the contact was informed that the repair could not be performed because the part was not available, and to report the failure to the NHTSA hotline. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,800.

The contact owns a 2009 GMC Canyon. The contact stated during an oil change, he was informed by the mechanic that the sub frame was fractured between the driver’s side door and the passenger’s side door. The contact had not taken the vehicle to the local dealer however, the independent mechanic advised the contact that the entire sub frame needed to be replaced because the fracture could not be welded. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 157,000.

2006 GMC Canyon. Consumer writes in regards to brake control module malfunction and other problems with vehicle . The consumer stated the abs light illuminated, due to the failure of the brake control module. The blower motor resistor had to be replaced, because the fan knob of the climate control would only work on one setting. The left front wheel bearing, cd player, heater and front grill were replaced.

Rear view mirror sight line is severely restricted to a small centered tunnel like area. The consumer stated, when the rear bench is folded down, the head rest makes contact with the drivers seat, which does not create a flat platform as designed. Moving the front seat forward to accommodate the rear folding seat, comprises the drivers position by making it extremely uncomfortable and cramped. Consequently, the feature doesn't work. There was nothing in the manual stating there was an option to remove the head rests. The consumer was not getting the correct mpg. At night, when the clock and radio dash lights are on, the blue/green horizontal display light reflect to the rear window. The image is then reflected into the rear view mirror as a vertical blue/green line.
