One problem related to steering pinion shaft has been reported for the 2000 GMC Envoy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
10234, door trim comes off; 17660, hinge hood rattles; 26510, idler arm had to be replaced; 44938, pinion seals & power steering seals were leaking; 56785, cd player had to be replaced; 72375, transmission went out; 95819, computer had to be replaced; 106169, right headlamp had to be replaced (for almost $800!!!); and sporadic incidences of different dash lights coming on & staying on. Obviously, all of these problems weren't on the date listed below, but that's the date of the first one.
