2002 Envoy wheel studs broke completely off 3 times. ** answer required*** the studs always break off in the same location, the driver's side rear wheel. The wheels have been rotated by the dealer every 7/8000 miles.
Own 2002 Envoy from GMC,after 15,000 miles developed a grinding noise in wheels. Have been back to dealer and spoke to GMC direct. They have tried to correct 5 times. They acknowledge problem in axle. Have put conversion kit in to correct,which didn't work. Mechanic claims dealership have two other Envoy's with same problem. I believe this maybe a manufacturing defect. They are trying to resolve this problem for me. I am not requesting any help with this issue. I want this at least to be a matter of record for any future complaints which may come your way.
