My 2004 GMC Envoy xl slt is making a random clunking noise while turning the clunking is getting worse we had the upper ball joints changed thinking that was the problem it did not fix the problem I was told it was the steering rack.
The contact owns a 2004 GMC Envoy. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the steering wheel seized. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 97,000.
Stopped at street like, light went green started to move forward and car goes dead. No lights on dash, nothing showing, just stops abruptly. After a few moments tried restarting car and it came back on with check engine light. P0606 pcm failure code displayed. Could have been rear ended by semi truck behind me or killed if I was trying to turn left at intersection.
