Hello, first off, this is not a vehicle issue or complaint. This is an after market component issue regarding bosch evolution wiper blades. I purchased bosch evolution all season wipers for my 2004 Envoy from woot. Com and installed them last summer. They worked fine until last month when winter weather hit here in new york state. In cold winter conditions three things have occurred: 1. The wiper latches are lifting up (releasing) allowing the wipers to no longer be secured to the wiper arm. My passenger side wiper has actually separated from the wiper arm twice so far, and I have had to pull over to retrieve the wiper from the street while avoiding traffic. 2. And, in cold winter conditions the wipers blades are taking a set thus scraping the window loudly in one direction instead of wiping the glass in both directions. 3. Also, the cold weather is making the wiper blades form into a curved shape away from the glass, instead of being flat on the glass. This prevents the wiper blade from contacting most of the windshield. I could not see where I was going because the wipers only cleared the window at the top and bottom edges because only the ends of the wiper blade were making contact with the windshield. I believe this is a manufacturing defect and more importantly a serious safety issue. I contacted bosch automotive and they replied they only have a 30 day warranty on wipers and I should contact the seller. Because of bosch's I don't care attitude I am contacting the national highway traffic safety administration (NHTSA) regarding this serious safety issue. Sorry to bother you with this issue and I look forward to your response. Thank you for your time, john j. Golan.

6 Wiper problem

Simply driving down a smooth road, no bumps, and rear hatch glass shattered. I've read hundreds of complaints about this happening to other people's Envoys. At first I thought somebody shot out my window because who has ever heard of a window just exploding for no reason. Well, apparently GMC found a way to make windows, "just explode", and then weasels their way out of paying to fix this embarrassment of american engineering. From what I've read GMC has refused all cases compensation for this problem, so I came here to voice my frustration because I don't have $795 to fix my truck. I am wondering if this problem should be considered for a class action lawsuit. My 1999 vw jetta was part of a class action lawsuit because the ground effect trim would get caught on parking blocks and cause damage, but this window exploding is a much more serious problem. So I will call GMC on Jan. 2 when offices open back up, and depending on how that goes I might call up a buddy who practices law to see what the chances are for a class action suit.

12 Wiper problem

Failure Date: 09/13/2009

The windshield wiper pump that came with the vehicle started running continuously after washing the windshield. The pump would not shut off when vehicle was shut off. After a few minutes the washer pump overheated itself and cause a small fire, I was lucky enough to get out quick. I replaced with a new washer pump and it still ran continuously, I uninstalled immediately. . . Right now I have no way to wash my windshield and the bigger issue is the fire that we were lucky to escape any major incident.
