Rear hatch window exploded while the car was not moving for no apparent reason lucky no one was in the rear seats or standing in back of the vehicle at the time otherwise the flying glass would have been an issue. And if I had been driving the noise and distraction of the breaking glass could have been an issue as well. No ins or police inspections took place. No lamps or messages or symptoms of any kind presented prior to the glass failure.

When I start my car the windshield wipers come on even though they are in the off position. Sometimes its intermittent, sometime they run for as long as I am driving. I have checked complaints on this going back to 2013.
While servicing my vehicle at an authorized gm dealership, I was notified of the recent recall regarding headlamps which get hot and can fail. It has been nearly 8 months since that recall was issued, and yet there remains no identifiable remedy or solution as to how they will resolve the issue and repair / replace the defective components. . Entitled to safe vehicles, I am unsure as to how or why gm would believe that 8 months to not even have announced a solution is an absurdity. At this point, the period of time in which the manufacturer has had to develop and implement a solution is simply unacceptable as a consumer. I am under the belief that their solution to the problem is simple, they are going let the vehicles age a few more years and hope by that time, additional vehicles requiring repair will no longer be on the road and the issue will magically go away. As owners of this vehicle, I am entitled to the remedy as promised under recall gm 14291, and I do not think that it is acceptable for manufacturers to sit on open recalls for vehicles currently on our roadways which have been already been identified as having a safety defect in need of defect replacement or repair.
First off my electrical panel in my steering wheel none of the lights are on and with my windshield wipers some time they will come and when it start to rain and they will stop working this is very dangerous because I never know when they going to work or not driving like this can be a death trap, this been going for about 6 months I told them after the recall for my door panel they said it might be recall for this as well nothing yet.

Wind shield wipers would go on . Now they won't go off. Engine light wont go off feels like the car is going to stall out. Mechanic said it will get worse and will start stalling out. I see a lot of complaints on these cars about the same thing I have going on. My gas gauge wont work. I brought my car for the recall for the drivers door last year and now my keys won't unlock the doors. Only the remote will open it. When I called about the doors and windows not working they said my VIN wasn't under recall I called you and you got it fixed for me. I think they need to check the electrical problems on the Envoys. I have the same complaints so something is wrong with these vehicle.
Vehicle wipers starting turning on when wipers were set to off. This problem has progressively gotten worse . It started as only intermittently and occasionally having the wipers turn on for a couple swipes and then shutting off. Now they (the windshield wipers) start swiping when the vehicle is started and you can hear the windshield washer pump running, the wipers will run until I turn the vehicle off. At times this is for 30 minutes or longer.

Driving along rapidly with rear defroster on and blade wiping with outside temperature of about 0 degrees and with a loud blast the rear window suddenly exploded loudly into hundreds of pieces flinging shards of glass into the vehicle causing me to almost loose control of the car into a snow bank or opposing lane. Now I am out $650 for a replacement but gladly no one got hurt.

While driving I turned on my left blinker to turn. The wiper came on and it sprayed windshield washer fluid. I put it back into the neutral position and they kept spraying and would not stop. I pulled over turned the vehicle off and back on. The wipers came back on immediately and continued to spray wind washer fluid. Then my speakers started to play a distorted sound. I turned off vehicle again about 4 more times and every time the wiper blades and spray came back on. I had to stay parked on the side of the road for about 10 minutes then they stopped. Or so I thought, as I started to drive and hit 20mph the wiper blades came on and it started spraying again till it finished the entire gallon of wind washer fluid. As I pulled into my drive way the wiper blades kept on cleaning with no liquid. I turned off the vehicle and the wiper blades continued for a few more seconds then stopped. This seems like an electrical problem and I am wondering what is my next step from here?.
Beginning on 08-20-2011 my 2006 Envoy began turning on and off its wipers and spraying windshield washing fluid everywhere. It now does this regularly everyday it is driven. Makes it hard to see at times. I have not taken it to a garage yet, was looking to see if there was a recall as I'm sure this will not be cheap to fix :(.
