Three problems related to manifold/header/muffler/tail pipe have been reported for the 2008 GMC Envoy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problem

Failure Date: 06/03/2014

Our 2008 GMC Envoy kept on getting louder and louder as time went on and when I went to check it out I found that the exhaust manifold had a crack in it about 3. 5 inches long. If feel that this should be a recall do to I changed 3 od them in other GMC Envoys in the last 6 months. I own a state inspection repair garage in pennsylvania. This is a very poor layout by gm. Also the secoundaryair pump on this same vehicle is a command problem. And the wiper spray nosal is also another command poor design.

2 Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problem

Failure Date: 09/17/2013

I started my vehicle in the am and it made a loud muffled noise. Took it to the mechanic and he showed me a picture of a crack in th exhaust manifold. I looked online and saw recalls for other years and models for GMC and chevy. I think the 2008 chevy Envoy should be included. It seems to be that the manifold is defective.

3 Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problem

Failure Date: 02/04/2013

I started my vehicle on Monday morning and it was unusually loud. After inspection, I found my manifold was cracked.
