Rear hatch cover for 2003 GMC Envoy xl, in winter climates, snow then ice collects and it can break, potentially come off going down the highway, could it cause an accident? hasn't happened yet, but they still have not changed the design, and according to former service writer at local dealership, they have repaired or replace several. First repair consists of using adhesive under hatch, doesn't last long. I consider it a design defect, that should be changed, again would only be a problem in winter climate areas. Incident date is date schedule for replacement of part.
