One problem related to air bag light on has been reported for the 2001 GMC Jimmy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Front driver side door hinges unsafe design replace them 38 times no kidding. Airbag light has been on not blinking steady on for 5 years. Abs kicks in on dry road when turning sometimes. And yes all new hubs are on it. Other than these things the car is bullet proof and love it.
