Two problems related to brake disc have been reported for the 2001 GMC Jimmy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Upon applying brakes there was a grinding noise and vehicle would not stop. Consumer had to pull into another lane to avoid hitting another car. Cause unknown. Please provide any further information.
Consumer has had to replace brake pads and rotors several times. Vehicle checked by dealer, who advised consumer that rotors were defective and being warped. Consumer very concerned about brake effectiveness while driving vehicle.
