Two problems related to brake electric antilock have been reported for the 2001 GMC Jimmy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The abs system activated while stopping normally at less then 5 mph. The brake pedal became so hard it was hard to stop.
The contact states the abs engaged at low speeds. Causing extended stopping distances during low-speed braking applications. The vehicle has been to a repair shop once for inspection. Although an abs problem was recognized no repairs were made. The contact experienced this problem for the past year and a half.
