Speed Control Cable problems of the 1997 GMC Safari

One problem related to speed control cable has been reported for the 1997 GMC Safari. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Speed Control Cable problem

Failure Date: 05/15/2001

While traveling at approximately 20 mph in traffic vehicle suddenly started to accelerate. Consumer was able to bring vehicle to a stop after applying full pressure to brake pedal. Upon examination, the throttle control cable had disconnected from a sensor in engine which caused the problem. Please provide any additional information attachments.
