Tl-the contact owns a 2008 GMC Savana. The contact stated that both exterior and interior side cargo doors were extremely difficulty to release whenever being accessed. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, who stated that the door hinges would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the defect. The contact owns a 2005 GMC Savana 1500. When the contact examined the vehicle, he found that the spare tire cable was corroded. The cable was cut to remove the spare tire. The rear brake metal cover was also corroded causing rotors and brake pads to fail. The vehicle was taken to a local repair shop where the rear rotors and brake pads were replaced. The cargo doors are very difficult to open. The door hinges have rusted internal, so that one of the hinges snapped off (lower hinge, passenger side cargo door). Gm has TSB for this but will not cover it. It is very unsafe if you can not exit the door.

When driver's side sunvisor is pushed against windshield ,it will drop back down into a notch, d-dent, causing poor visibility. The driver's seat (electric) is in the lowest position.
