general problems of the 1996 GMC Sierra

1 Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 09/23/2003

Passenger side seat belt failed.

2 Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 02/10/2001

While driving 40 mph consumer's vehicle hit another vehicle in front crash. Seatbelts did not activate, consumer hit her face on steering wheel, required 6-8 stitches. GMC custoumer service told her the seatbelt should not have locked up, her life was not in danger. Damage to vehicle was $ 7000. Ak.

3 Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 07/04/1999

Rail on the passenger's side automatic shoulder belt keeps getting stuck.
