One problem related to automatic transmission torque converter has been reported for the 1997 GMC Sierra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While the consumer was driving, the vehicle started to jerk hard when transmission was going into first gear and returning to slower arterials. Also, fluid was leaking at rear end of the vehicle. Consumer took the vehicle to the dealer and dealer said it was bad torque converter.
