Engine Belts And Pulleys problems of the 1997 GMC Sierra

Two problems related to engine belts and pulleys have been reported for the 1997 GMC Sierra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem

Failure Date: 02/11/2006

: the contact stated the anti-lock brakes engaged at 10 mph. There is a NHTSA recall, # 05v379000, regarding the anti-lock brakes. The vehicle has the same problems as indicated in the recall; however it is not included in the recall due to the VIN. The serpentine belt was replaced. Updated 03/17/06.

2 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem

Failure Date: 05/18/1999

Serpentine belt tensioner broke, causing engine problems, and may cause a vehicle crash. Please provide further information.
