Two problems related to air brake antilock have been reported for the 2000 GMC Sierra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
My brakes started to fail--stopping before entering traffic, stopping at red lights, pulling into parking spaces. At first it seemed that maybe it was slippery and the brakes were pulsing or something. The last time when I knew I was in trouble was when I pulled into a parking spot and the brakes did not work at all.
Problems with abs brakes. Brakes do not respond in a normal manner for no apparent reason. Occurs at all speeds and on dry roads. Seem's like the abs. Activates for no reason but does not stop vehicle. Problem is worse on bumpy road's. Have had to avoid collision's on many occasions!.
