Two problems related to accelerator pedal have been reported for the 2001 GMC Sierra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The throttle stuck. It was not a continuous problem. After vehicle had been driven and would be parked,consumer restarted vehicle and had to apply more pressure than usual in order to have accelerator pedal released. When this happened vehicle jumped or would take off on its own. Vehicle was under warranty which the dealership/manufacturer would not honor.
Gas pedal will continuously get stuck when driving. Consumer has to pull it back out with both feet. Contacted dealer, and the dealer was not willing to do anything.
