One problem related to brake disc pads has been reported for the 2005 GMC Sierra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
: the contact stated that there were problems with the break pads, rotors, shoes, and drums. At only 30,000 miles, the vehicle was taken to the dealer for repairs on 5 occassion to grind down the brakes and rotors. None of the repairs fixed the problem. The first time the vehicle was taken to the dealer for the problem was at 20,000 miles. The contact expressed concerns that the vehicle should not need this many repairs at this mileage . There were no incidents prior to this problem that caused the brakes to go bad.
