My 2008 GMC Sierra denali's automatic locks have failed on three of the four doors. I didn't realize they were not engaging until I took two children to dinner and had one of them open the door without unlocking the door. I had the child safety locks engaged and thought I would be safe, but it turns out the locks never engaged (thus, making the child locks irrelevant). This is an issue beyond inconvenience.
