Tl-the contact owns a 2009 GMC Sierra. The contact stated that while driving at 60 mph, the vehicle engine power suddenly reduced to 40 mph and the engine completely shut off. The engine restarted with slow acceleration and unknown warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The technician diagnosed that the throttle position sensor was faulty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate mileage was 62,000. Pam.
About 2 months after we purchased our pre-owned 2009 GMC Sierra denali we started having problems with the engine power and all sensors going off. The sensors start going off the stability control cuts off it says engine power reduced then doesn't want to shift and kills in middle of traffic. It will do it for a few days and then just starts working right again. So we never know when it's going to happen or where we will be. It's like it's not running on all cylinders.
