Brake Disc Pads problems of the 2001 GMC Sierra 1500

1 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 01/30/2007

Premature brake failure due to rotors rusting, rear rotors rusted and wore pads out front brake pads worn out on inside only, parking brake worn out on drivers side inoperable on passenger side. All pads and rotors needed to be replaced, rotors too delaminated to turn, parking brake pads replaced too. All parts available. 800 dollars to repair.

2 Brake Disc Pads problem

Failure Date: 11/30/2005

Brake system performance is poor. Compared to brake performance when new, vehicle takes too long to stop from any speed above 20 mph. Have replaced all pads, all rotors, and bled brakes twice; no noticeable improvement in performance. This was first noticed at 80,000 miles, vehicle currently has 110,000 miles.
