I was driving down the road going 35 miles an hour and noticed a loud grinding noise then my abs light came on. My steering was much less responsive. I hit a bump in the road and my truck ran into a fence. I had to change the wheel bearings to correct the problem.

Driving interstate 95 left front wheel bearing failure causing loud noise and steering shake.

4 Front Suspension Wheel Bearing problem

Failure Date: 09/05/2006

: the contact stated while driving 55 mph on the highway, the left front wheel wobbled from side to side without warning. The contact managed to pull the vehicle over without incident. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who determined the left front wheel bearings were loose and needed to be replaced. After new wheel bearings were installed, the problem was corrected. The manufacturer was alerted.
